Monica is a mother, flower shop owner, and creative thinker, here to encourage and inspire you.

We have exciting news – we’ve moved into our new location! We’re still in the same beautiful building, we’re just on the other side, on Bright Ave. The shop is now open for walk-ins and we look forward to seeing you in our new space. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind with moving and what’s going on in the world.

On May 25th, the heart-breaking incident of George Floyd happened and it has affected our community deeply. It felt like the world came to a screeching halt, and everyone in the community focused on the issue at hand. Local businesses including our own boarded up, sales stopped, and the media blacked out. We’ve been trying to find how to navigate a business through these challenging times, while also acknowledging the black community and standing in solidarity with them. We are actively working to source black artists and creatives that we will soon be carrying in the shop. We’ve reached out to a few and are anxiously waiting for their responses.

Its been an intense couple of months with the pandemic and protests, and overall an emotionally heavy time. In between protests and boarding up shop, we managed to move over. Witnessing protesters as they marched by while moving into our new space was a surreal moment. All of the protests were peaceful, and it was truly inspiring to witness the passion and unity among everyone.

In the end, we boarded up the windows for the week, and we took them down, continuing business as usual in our new space. Moving forward, we are being much more conscious of the Black Lives Matter movement and educating ourselves, contributing in any way that we can. With all that said, we’re excited to be in our new space and are designing it with you in mind. We can’t wait to see you all again, and we feel truly lucky to be a part of this amazing, resilient community.
